I remember the first time I had a Belgian beer (is that sad?) and it was kind of a ‘come to Jesus’ moment for me. The taste was yeasty, smooth, perfect. I wanted to try every Belgian beer I could and I think I’m well on my way, honestly.
This beer was actually in the discount section of my favorite liquor store and I got it mostly because of the label. I do the same thing with wine, to be frank, and I haven’t had too many terrible experiences yet.
So, judge a book by its cover?
This saison rue was delicious and it had a good body, a clean and pleasant finish while also tasting very light and refreshing.
